Voyage Logs Overview

Voyage Logs are designed to capture vessel emission data in line with the Energy Leap Vessel Emissions Reporting Standard (VERS).

This allows Vessel Operators under a charter agreement to easily capture vessel emissions data as required by parties such as the IMO and the European Union.

This data can be collected either daily in the Noon Report, or upon any other supported voyage event.

Supported Events

The events supported by the VERS standard are:

  • Noon Report
  • Cast Off
  • Anchor Brought Up
  • Anchor Aweigh
  • Full Away On Sea Passage
  • End Of Sea Passage
  • All Fast
  • Mode Change

Mode Change Event

The Mode Change event indicates the vessel is travelling under non-typical conditions that might require a CII correction factor.

The options available under Mode Change are:

  • Normal Operations
  • Ice
  • Emergency
  • STS

Voyage Logs cannot be seen by Terminal Operators or Inspectors.
