Documents & Photos Overview

The functionality of Documents & Photos is broadly similar, with some key exceptions:

• Photos can be uploaded into Hub against Vessels and Terminals only, whereas Documents can also be uploaded against Companies.

• In all cases, to upload a Document or Photo, the user must hold the Hub - Manage Documents & Photos User Role.

• Only the Operator of a Terminal may upload Photos and Documents against it.

• As described in Data Ownership Principles, all Documents uploaded against Vessels by Classification Societies are automatically shared with the current Ship Operator, and are not explicitly listed as Data Shares.
